conrad

by nick nelson

conrad was a butterfly
and floated on the breeze
he fell in love with betty
a bee with beautiful knees

there was nowhere he would not fly
to impress his beloved
to fall into the datk abyss
he needed but a shove

lovers are forever
life is but a spark
that lights up a tiny planet
and leaves you in the dark

daohne

by fred flynn

daphne was a robot
in the corner of the room
edwin was a savant
encapsulating gloom

daphne was pointed
toward the universe’s end
edwin had a button
but never pressed send

fred was a janitor
making his nightly rounds
daphne and edwin
were never afterwards found

albert jones

by dog e relaford

i have a friend
his name is albert jones
he isn’t real
but i feel him in my bones

albert is an outlaw
and loves the human race
he has beautiful thoughts
and is kept in his place

he walks down the street
like a cloud in the sky
no one says hello
i wonder why

bruce

by genghis gilgamesh

bruce was a guy
who never found fame
he never won
but he played the game

some knew him as smith
some knew him as brown
he was born on a bus
but lived downtown

his mama left him
when he was just a child
he did what they told him
and never ran wild

he was just a guy
who never found fame
he never won
but he played the game
