cats and monkeys climb up trees
wild horses roam the ranges
the rain comes down and then dries up
but nothing ever changes
wise men sit in high backed chairs
their brains are turning blue
the sun shines outside the window
but hardly a ray gets through
who was the first human?
it was a long long time ago
they say that it was adam
but what do they know?
maybe it was a gorilla
who got lost in the rain
and got left behind by his fellows
and never found them again
and he met a martian princess
who had landed on earth my mistake
and maybe this story is true
and maybe it is fake
and they fell in love like the sea and sky
and were always true to each other
and their children covered the earth
